The words are jumbled in my head
Putting pen to paper I now dread
My terrace garden my refuge
Tending to the flowers bestowed
My energy and peace slowly restored.

I keep a little mat up there
To sit in quiet contemplation and stare.
The smell of Jasmine hits my nose
My eyes close, body now in full repose.

My fives senses now like a balm
The words untangle in my head
The mind grows calm, the lights grow dim
I watch my thoughts now like a film.
