The Maharani’s carriage has long passed
Dark night is approaching fast
The indigo sky has a full moon
The stars make a way to heaven
Streets wet as the rain drops
Flowers asleep with heads bowed
Maharani turns toward the moon
The chilling beauty softly croons
And every being out at night
Hurry home to its warm light
Maharani steps down on the path
Gently caressing the marble bird bath
And towards the palace she moves
Leaving behind the sound of retreating hooves
