I’ve shared a sadness
that was leagues away,
breaking my recess
cannot grasp the day
Pouring through fingers
to puddle the floor,
my heart seeps tears
as valves close doors
Bodies did crumble
with the pain of grief,
Wailing in mime
in the search for relief
Witnessing a world
as it crumbles away,
My mind burns to cinders
as it remembers this Day
The pit in my stomach
was dug in deep,
the pain in my chest
wouldn’t give when I weep
Illusions in mind
start to make folds,
misery had found
a place to grab hold
A formidable statue
till guard stood down,
dwelling with sadness
being strength with a frown
Mask drops down
to release control,
Falling to pieces
as tears fill the mold
Crying for friends
in the mirror of sorrow,
weighted in dampness
that wont wait for tomorrow
