Junk

She stood quietly on the edge,
Watching the waves below.
She was sure no one would miss her,
They wouldn’t even know.

Alone in a sea of people,
Blissfully unaware.
She was all but invisible,
No one knew she was there.

There were never any answers,
Just confusion and strife.
Like a piece of cosmic garbage,
Living a useless life.

She wondered if the fall would hurt,
Would she suffer at all?
What if she managed to survive,
Left crippled by the fall?

Perhaps her peers would notice then,
Though they’d try not to stare.
She wouldn’t be invisible,
At least they’d see the chair.

Then from behind her came a voice,
“Don’t do this!” it implored.
A little girl stood all aglow,
An angel from the Lord.

“Mommy, I can’t let you do it.
You’re worth more than you know.
If your life ends, mine can’t begin;
I’ll lose my chance to grow!”

The apparition startled her;
A child she never bore?
She couldn’t see how this could be,
But needed to know more.

The child became a teenager,
And addressed her again.
“I’ll need your patient wisdom when
My rebel years begin.”

She watched the vision change once more,
To a young woman now.
She said: “Who will plan my wedding,
The day I make that vow?”

Again she saw the image change,
And take her by the hand.
An old woman stood promising,
That soon, she’d understand.

Then all around the two of them
Stood people, young and old.
“Each of these is your descendant.”
‘Twas a sight to behold.

When the apparitions faded,
Only the child remained.
Saying: “Now do you understand,
 The things that I’ve explained?”

“There’s a reason for every life.
From king to serf to drunk.
And every soul is important,
For God does not make junk.”

With that, the vision disappeared,
And finally she knew;
Every person has a purpose;
God has a plan for you.

For What Is It You Seek

For what is it you seek?
Asked the wise man,
The child replied “I seek all that is right and good”
The wise man pondered that thought,
What is right and good in your mind?
The child spoke,
What is right and good is:
Money,
Happiness,
Food,
Drink,
Beauty,
Health,
And Love.

The wise man spoke but soft and stern,
Why must money be your first thought and love your last?
Is this not just the world’s demons of want?

The child again spoke, yet timid this time,
For sir, money is needed for survival
From what I have been taught it can buy me,
A roof over my head,
Food for me to eat,
Beauty and health,
And I have seen it could bring love.

The wise man complexed stated,
For son, you have been swayed from the truths,
For money is just a tool,
Yes you could put a roof over your head,
And buy food,
But is it a big roof or just what is needed,
Is the food you buy steaks or ground beef?
The more you want, the more money you will need,
You are a child of GOD, beauty you have.
Health is from your father in heaven,
Love could not be bought,
Only lust is bought! And it leaves you empty,
For true love has been given,
To all who want it, from the day we are born to the day we die,
That comes through choice,

The child boasted,
But Sir,
What is it that you have to show in your life?
Sandals on your feet,
A gown on your back,
Scars on your body,
Truly this is not what you wanted.

The wise man’s voice calm and soothing replied,
Son, what I have I have given for you.

Pastor Jack

A.W. Nutter

Pounding the pulpit with his fist
Sweat dripping from his brow
Preaching about Gods top ten list
The sinful Jews with their golden cow

Same old messages still in place
Pastor Jack’s patterns haven’t changed
Fear written on the altar boy’s face
A secret meeting has been arranged

Prayers end, the congregation stands
The pastor and boy move outside
Warmly shaking everyone’s hand
Wolf in sheep clothing able to hide

I casually walk across the street
Viewing the church pews now empty
The pedophile has made a quick retreat
Concealed in Satan’s, den of iniquity

Quietly, I traverse the wooden stairs
Listening at the door to the crying child
Pastor doing damage only God can repair
How many children has this demon defiled

Stepping through his unlocked door
A look of surprise from Pastor Jack
Dropping the naked child to the floor
Realizing his first sin, had come back

Quickly helping the boy get dressed
Time to end his night frights and screams
To Pastor Jack’s head my gun is pressed
The child pulls the trigger ending his dreams

His face aglow with the purity of light
From sending his tormentor to hell
Walking out of the church into the night
Brothers with a secret that we'll never tell

The Man On the Street

The Man On The Street

The streets are crowded
People walk by not seeing the man standing there
He is not old enough to be put in a home
He is not poor enough to beg for spare change
He is just a person who people do not see
They do not know that he has saved their lives
They cannot know that in his few years he has lived more than they ever will
He watches them as they pass him by
He sees the sluts and the addicts
He watches as they argue and fall in love
He watches the adulterers walk by trapped in their erotic passion
He watches as the thief counts his stolen coins
He sees those in pain from the choices they have made
He watches the innocent and the guilty
Those who hurt and those who have been hurt
He cries a single tear for them
He watches as a child plays at his feet
He looks as the child looks into his eyes and smiles
And in that child’s eyes he sees hope
And he knows that his death meant something
It is sad that the others cannot see him
So they may find his hope

As the Tears Fall

As the tears fall
Im reminded of your mercy and grace
As the tears fall
My love for you grows deeper and deeper each day
For its you who has seen me through it all
When i felt my back was against the wall
I think back on how life has treated me
And its then I remember you promising you would never forsake or leave me
As the tear drops fall
And they slowly soak in
I remember your soft gentle voice saying
my child this is not the end
I remember your words,
just as clear as day
Saying child take my hand,
trust me, and ill lead the way
Ill be your friend, when your all alone
Ill be your redeemer,
when you feel all hope is gone
Ill be your deliverer,
when there seems no way out
Ill be your living water,
through the desert and the drout

Its In the Language of the Angels

It's the Language of the Angels

Don't worry little child for I sit beside your head,

I wrap my wings around you as you fall asleep in bed.

Don’t worry little child of the darkness in the night,

For I hold in my hands gods loving calming light.

Don't worry little child whether young or whether old,

It's the language of the angels that is taking hold.

Listen to that voice that whispers in your ear,

It's the language of the angels saying I am very near.

Michael, Samuel, Gabriel, are just my chosen few,

Who have been with me my whole life through.

It's the language of the angels that’s my tree to life,

But the test they most helped me with, was being a mother and a wife.
