( Hebrews 4:11 )

They say free man,
Aren’t you dreaming,
When I reveal,
My soul’s request,
For it’s rest,

They say in this present life,
There is only trouble and strife,
There is no narrow way,
For if even I can’t find it,
No never mind it!
But I know where to find it,
For Christ signed it,

The narrow way,
Is not for those who play,
I say,
So find it you may,
For it is children who play,
Their earthly life away,

Be you a child in malice,
Build heaven’s palace,
And you will not grow a callous,
Over the opening,
Of your fallopian,
Of the narrow way,
Of the truth , the spirit does say,

For heaven is built of love’s truth,
So don’t remain aloof,
Outside love’s booth!
But be you of mature mind,
That you may understand,
God’s plan,
Enter into truth the promised land,

A prudent man,
Will understand,
Now ,it was not signed or designed,
By a carnal mind,
For a carnal mind to find,

There is a booth,
That leads by the truth,
Through a narrow gate,
Into a higher state,
Of higher fate,
That is why it’s so hard to fine,
By a carnal mind!
Love’s booth of truth,
Is not a goof,

It is your sacred start,
From your sacred heart,
The wife of the soul,
Who has the mold,
Of love’s truth,
The narrow way,
You should find some day,
If your strife , you will give away,

The narrow way,
Is not a place, that you should play,
In a natural way,
Not something the mind would say,
In it’s strife of play,
However you may find,
But the mind must re aline,
With love’s kind,
While there is still time,

Being in the new earth,
In itself, is not the total rebirth,
For the truth you must still girth,
Your stand, within promise land,
Must still be the man,
Within God’s plan,

Having loins girt about with truth,
Able to stand in truth’s booth,
Waist girt about with love’s truth!

Finally Letting Go

I made mistakes from the very start,
And now I must pay for those, with damage to my heart
Stupid fantasies led me to believe you were 'the one'
I really want you to make some girl happy,
But now I know,
She's not me

I didn't realize how much this would hurt me,
I guess I cared more than I knew
And I may have hurt you too
And all is forgiven.
In that aspect, I want to start fresh and new
but I know it won't really be the same,
Behind the fear and charade
I'm trying hard not to doubt you
With God I can trust
I just hope and pray you're feeling the same way,
Oh you must!

Sometimes I get caught back up in wishing it wasn't so,
But that's just petty infatuating, boy would I know!
I think I've recently matured in our friendship
And now I'm fairly certain that's all it will ever be
but still at times I may fall back,
And I then have regrets about letting you go
But I can't go through that again, I won't do it to myself
So I will fade back into the shadows

Someday my prince will come, and your princess too
But anymore I just don't think we are the missing,
Matching
Pieces of the other's puzzle
I don't want to be wrong on this,
Because I don't want to go back
For I'm not sure I could step out on that limb of trusting you again
Oh, how so much can change in a week, a day
But even still
In the blink of an eye

I don't know if ignorance really is bliss?
Not if your feelings and heart are involved for sure
For you can fall into an unhealthy cycle
Of 'fairytale dreams' and 'happily ever afters'

I know I'll always miss you with a piece of my heart
And from me, your memory will never depart
You will always be special to me
In a way others don't understand,
But that ache will fade some
I'll move on,
And I will then be free to dream again

Failure's Childe

My daughter, my joy and my light,
Let me share with you a secret sublime,
For most people, they never know of this
ignoble plight,
Lives spent broken backs bent before
unremitting time,

Once I was a sprightly youth, innocent and carefree,
Ways of this prurient world still unknown,
But as the moments of life burn and
roam with rhapsodic glee,
Notes of the feminine tune string upon
the instruments laddish hearts once stone,

However, often the tunes turn into a lackluster jibe,
When we the grotty castoffs come and go,
Any futile attempt we make to pay for
love's perilous bribe,
In the metaphorical corners of our minds still
we try to let you scions of Eve know,

Just a glance for a meteoric millisecond,
To give the infinitesimal gift of
Hope,
Upon these Cupid dared not aim his amatory dart,
The missile's missive not meant for those
who bear not attraction's prepossessing mark,

As a voice for Failure's Childe I beseech once more,
Please divert no longer from us your
lenitive gaze,
Though we may be gamers, geeks, role-players
and nerds,
Still we avidly seek just one more chance gratis to win your secretive heart,

Though may a step might cause to stumble,
Or words of ardor may scare you away,
Remember, precious one though these seem
low and unworthy,
A half of a whole, the race never won, an end
without a beginning, the power you have
to save Failure's Childe from one more
inefficacious day

My Name

Say my name,
            Utter my appellation,
            Let it caress your palate,
            Each letter emitting slowly,
            Sprinkling each letter softly as you surrender it from you lips.

            Say my name,
            Send it swiftly in the air,
            On a gust of wind,
            Let it reach my ear.

            Say my name,
            Whisper it while the willow tree's branches sway,
            Syallables freely floating in the atmosphere.

            Say my name,
            In a ray of sunshine may it glow,
            In a droplet of rain transparent may it rest.

            Say my name,
            In a snowflake let it lie pure in a white world,

            Say my name,
            In summer may it touch a rose petal,
            In fall may it soar on a brilliant fallen leaf,
            In spring may it bloom and blossom like the lilies of the valley,
            In winter may it gleam on the arcs of an icicle.

           Say my name,
           Caress it with emotion,
           Let it reach my ear,
           Let it reach my heart,
           Where I'll hear it in my soul.

Heart Shaped Note

so i se you've open my heart
thanks for asking permission first
you'll have to excuse the mess
i wasnt expecting company right now
now that you're here, yuou may as well stay
go ahead and make yourself comfortable
good luck getting through all the junk
most of this stuff is pretty old
someday i'll get rid of things
i'll probably keep some in storage too
its gonna be awhile till i'm ready for all that though
coming here may have been a mistake
you could wind up regretting it
i never asked for any of it in the first place
its not my fault it isnt perfect
maybe it'll work out for the best
anything is possible i suppose
please be real careful in here though
i dont want anything else getting broken
most of its fragile so handle with care
if you ever do decide to leave for any reason
i'd appreciate you letting me know i can lock the door behind you
it was left wide open when the last one moved out
you were able to easily sneak in without me even noticing
i definately cant let that happen again
once more would likely end up killing me
if it reaches that point, it could mean that
searching for love is just not worth it after all
not worth risking my sanity
and the abuse to my soul
me

Cynthia

Oh the places we won't go,
like post dated postcards
with fictional photographs of you and I
laughing lovers caught up in this
moment
now mourn this trysts annulment
The fading hue of I to you
crashing closer to memory
are the full blown passion ploys
and blissful near misses
...the only places I may recall you fondly
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once upon a never
you gazed dreamy
laughed freely
kissed deeply
and made love sweetly
...no not sweetly, but dirty discreetly
the pure erotic world all yours
behind closed doors
engrossed in post-coital
pillow reminiscing
Moving past the altitude
of fickle courting, began the rouse
singing blandly rehearsed tunes
to retreating corners licking wounds
For confrontation is where you thrive
while in misplaced ire my interest dies
beauty morphs horrid in this beholders eyes
as your idiocyncrasies I now despise
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I may think this time was lost
but I say it's worth noting,
my pen has always moved the most
between the loving and the loathing...

Tonight

The fresh blossom of what seems like love hangs in the balance,
Nothing holding us back from the unforeseen possibilities of what is our newfound affection.

The light fading away from the horizon is a sign,
A sign that what we have glows strong throughout the twilight.

Nothing seems like it can sway the feelings shared,
Shared between you and I.

A glance,
A look,
A pause,
Conveys what we are both feeling.

The notion that we may actually find that one to share our most intimate thoughts,
The withdrawal,
The significance.

The pure melding of emotion,
The absolute resolution that this should be seen as what it is.
Affection.

All of this compounding into what one could say is…
This thing that transforms into…
Trust.

The one thing we have both hunted for blindly,
And feared that we may actually find.
That trust that has irked it’s way in,
Through a surprising night.

That night,
Was what we probed for,
And that night.

Is Tonight.

I pray to never forget,
But to always hold close to my heart.

Tonight.

Dan

I witness through the gentleness of your hands,
the tender strength of your arms, in your eyes- love,
I understand the speech your body expresses,
The slight turn of your head, the way the flames in my heart
Are fanned- great waves beginning, and your heart too-
See its beauty, feel its warmth,
And then I can hear it.
My breath is withdrawn but just as sudden-
Everything is made clear- the love I attribute
From you. Never let me go, if I fall I will shrivel- so cold.
A humble request of my love, my tears, expressed through
A trembling kiss.
Lift my face to yours, so I feel your breath,
Feel the beginning of lust,
But it is so much more.
Substantial and pure, enveloped in peace,
A feathered touch upon my skin I cease
To exist.
As I am calm, in the mold of your arms
Held and caressed, I know true bliss,
We may finally begin, each other, we may finally begin,
Life with our hearts,
Entwined as one,
I do not wish to be my own
I want only to be yours.

Reminiscent Venues

He dragged his eyes across the pavement
To think of what he has lost.
For to be alone in his head makes no brutal dent
When he dwells on memories many have tossed.

He thinks for all emotion and for her sparkling voice
He may brood upon the thoughts of her and may refund them without choice.

She wanders alone, accompanied with thought
Passing various reminiscent venues
She thinks the phrase her old lover once said "You'll never realize what you've got"
While she acts as the flailing and determined ingenue

She thinks for all emotion and his raspy warm coo
She cherishes the time she thinks of him but doesn't know what to do

They meet on a street, their eyes catch after they pass
They wished that they could but they were past console
The moment felt together, a gathering of the broken shards of glass
Together they met and together they stayed

Oh, unstoppable together
They were, as they were again and forever

In the Lest of Composure

There's a time that comes every now and then,
When one must sit and shut tight both eyes,
To hold back a deluge of welling tears,
To maintain that happy workplace disguise.

More often than not we curse such changes
That strike the core of our comfort zone,
And usurp our minds of its security
To leave us speechless and very much alone.

But despite these feelings that one may bare
It is a fact that life is exactly that:
A destined journey of constant changes
That can switch course at the drop of a hat.

No matter how hard it may slap one's face
With a force never before known to be,
This reality of your sure departure still seems
Like a daydream fantasy.

In the lest of composure one can
Manage a pair of arms separate with much caution,
But in the manner of a bird from a nest,
Or an eager child into a winter snow,
There are times when utmost love can be shown
In the simple action of letting go.
