Haiku Collection: Three

1.
The sun has fallen
Behind pacific rim;now
Pastels stream the sky.
2.
The winter solstice-
And harvests long since past the
Noon-time of my life.
3.
Frost on the pumpkin-
His face waxing sad for the
Warmer days gone by.
4.
Beyond this fence line
The valley goes on for miles
Then arcs to the hill.
5.
You are more than love;
You are more than the earth's beauty-
You Are Forever!
6.
A trellis full of
Morning glories sparkling in
The newborn sunrise.
7.
I should call the stars
To halo all the beauty
Of your lovely face.
8.
Will a sonnet do?
If so,then you're a sonnet
Written in the wind
            |
Fly to every shore
And linger there a while,that
Other's might read you.
9.
Shrouded in the mists
Of a time I used to know,
Lay the love of you.
10.
This sun bright morning,
The hills are dotted with cows
Of many colors.
11.
Sleepy eyes, roll on;
Take your rest beneath the pines
Locked away in dreams.
12.
I contemplate you~
Your long hair blowing wildly
At the meadow's edge.
13.
Trees, trees and more trees-
Everywhere I look, I see
Trees, trees and more trees.
14.
In favor of the
Flavor of the red apple(?);
Fruitless taste of time.
15.
Minutes 'til the time
When we will journey onward
To the garden gate.
16.
Let's ride the windy
Night until the dark is gone,
And we find the dawn.
17.
Soft,the drippling light,
Melting like a candle's wax
All along our path.

Surrender In No Way

To and fro a person goes
Through life with its sunshine's blows
Sweeping him from beneath
A magic carpet surfing underneath
his feet of guidance
Towards the road of happiness
The sun shines upon his face
Whilst the moon's lace
approaches the sun to tie it down
Into the world of sleep and drawn

Slowly that person is pushed into sleep
As he lays his head deep
On the cushion of comfort and need
As it slowly shuts down his mind
Charging him with power for the next day
Gently parking across the bay
of luxury and adventures to be driven
By the one person it was given

Some give up their destiny’s flight
Pervading loss and fear to fight
And so, a land of misery
perches upon their bravery
As it crushes it into dust
and buries it beneath the earth’s crust…

Don’t give up no matter what
Even if all the doors are shut
Keep on going till you reach
the path of destiny’s breeches
that fill you with comfort and peace,
listening to your delightful breeze…

Life beholds pathways
towards different ways…
Some are easy to pass through…
Others are hard to step into…
But never give up no matter what
For what awaits at the end of each pathway’s hut…
Is treasure you shall cherish forever…

Road To Independence

We’re born to think
Born to make choices
So many to choose
So many voices
We speak our minds
When our voices set in
Defying the many
Who trained us to win
We cared not for reason
And heard not their talk
We were eager to go alone
Wanting to walk our own walk

But the road to independence
Where the sun kisses the earth
Is the road that we had set upon
From the moment of our birth
We try so hard to go alone
Forgetting all we’ve learned
Sometimes losing friendships
And sometimes getting burned

But we go
Yeah, we go
For the road to independence
Is the road you go alone

So many travelers on this road
I see them all the time
Heavy packs and broken backs
That really is a crime
No one asks or wants a hand
Often stubborn, sometimes strong
They choose to walk their lonely walk
Despite the fact it’s long

But we go
Yeah, we go
For the road to independence
Is the road you go alone

When they reach their independence
At that point, they will look back
Grateful that they went alone
And carried there, their pack
The sun was just as promised
As it lights both night and day
As here in Independence
We can say we went our own way

Devil Talk

Lashes on your back, gossip is the Devil's whip
It can be over a back yard fence of a coffee shop
You are never in a courtroom to tell your side
They are so happy with a hateful tongue and loose lip
To hear them tell it, they are the cream of the crop
When the facts are heard, they run and hide

Lies to them, thinks it makes a better story
"Rake him over the coals and hang him high"
"Tar and feather him, run him out of town"
Smear his name in the mud, that is their glory
But never look you in the eye
"Boy, you had better be gone when the Sun goes down"

Shaking their fists and pointing a finger
"I tell you he the one, he is guilty"
First one, then two and three, until there is a mob
More fuel to the fire, out of their minds that if filled with anger
Mas hysteria and a lunatics insanity
"Let's get a rope and do our job"

They say the guilty dog, barks the most and the loudest
While the truth stands calm to hear what is said
When the river of gossip runs dry, the Devil will take a walk
The Sun will rise in the East and gossip will be put to rest
We can rest assure at night, when we rest our head
Pray that this will end the Devil's talk

Melted Dreams

"Here come Santa Clause", sings the Ice Cream truck
The desert sun boils down in July
Barefooted children chasing their dreams
On streets made of dirt and not much luck
No hope and a tear in their eye
Fantasies melt like their ice cream

Tortilla made on a mesquite wood fire
Like Hell needed more flame
Makes their daily bread
Cactus thorns like barb wire
Beggars beg with no shame
Sleeping on the ground is their bed

A home for a stray dog and a cat or two
Everyone needs a friend now and then
Yesterday's tequila and empty beer cans
Licking wounds of what this old life can do
Reminds one of where they have been
Empty bellies, worn out pots and pans

Summer sun is Jalepeno hot
No water, lizards sweat in the shade
Dreams burn up in the fire
Lives are tied in a knot
No lights, electric bill was not paid
Hell on Earth, Ice Cream truck has a flat tire

Losing My Mind

 I just need a moment
To think
My Brain Feels Clogged
But Aint nothing coming to mind
No word Rollin down
Like ya People Tired of bein
In this recession
Im tired of bein stuck in
This Depression
I can keep this pain
Only for a moment
Theres a limit
Thats why i let the Pain
Bleed out the Pencil
Paper and Pen
Thats Tha Best two Utensil
My Life be gettin Worst by
Tha Minute
I be pinching myself
So many times
That i notice
This is no Bad Dream
That i notice
That i gotta Meet up
Face to Face With My
Problems
The thing that
Been Sprinting In
My mind is
If the Sun Comes up
Will i Smile
Lord if the sun comes up
Please Shine Some Brightness
Onto me
But If the Sun Dont Come up
I"ll be
Searching for a Positive
Energy
As the Darkness Trys to
Put a Negative Energy
Into me

Sun and Shadows

It's all about sun and shadows...good times and bad
Waking and sleeping...happy and sad
Black clouds and rain
blue skies and white doves
Peace,love and beauty...fear,hate and mistrust

It's all about sun and shadows...rolling dice and coin flips
Roller coaster rides and terrifying death trips
Slide and slip
The head and the tail
Rising and falling...the sexual spell

It's all about sun and shadows...darkness before the dawn
Living and dying
Prophets and pawns
Sacrifice and subtraction...one peice at a time
Tiny figments and fragments slowly robbing them blind
Kindness of killers and savagery of saints
One time passifists put on angry armor and war paint
Green lights say go...stop signs and red flags

It's all about sun and shadows that make this world just what it is

Happiness Is

On being happy, I'm no expert.
On that you can rely.
So I really ain't that qualified
to tell you how or why!

But I'm gonna stick my neck out
and take a chance or two.
When handling things that come your way
keep an optimistic point of view.

Don't let bad times get you down
things will turn out fine.
Most problems are gonna disappear
and soon again the sun will shine!

Just accept what nature offers.
Let your "conscience be your guide".
Just step back, take a real deep breath,
put your problems all aside.

Imagine your life with a clear blue sky
your sun like a yellow balloon.
Then after night time comes around,
Imagine a beautiful moon?

There's an old expression I once heard
which needs no affirmation,
"Happiness is a journey,
not a destination"!

Basking

when the rain has stopped
falling
down
upon
our
heads---
we see people flocking out &
under the sun to
collect the
beams
to
bathe in the
vitamin d
to
flee the seasonal affective
disorder (SAD)
which may have started to set in
when the serotonin
has increasingly been
depleting in the brain
during the winter & the fall.

you can see folks dance
& the fact that vitamin d staves off
many cancers
doesn’t exactly hurt---
an added bonus to longer days
&
a host full of laughs &
good
feelings---
as hallmark ©
greeting card-ish as that sounds,
it is pretty obvious to anybody
that when the sun comes out
some frowns settle down
&
surrender to the
smile---
at least for a while.

Grandiose

it's darn near perfect, almost grandiose
the weather isn't raining, the sun shines on my coast
work is going easy, friends are beating down my door
life is getting better and I finally know the score

it's darn near perfect, all my baggage packed
it wasn't ever easy with this weight upon my back
there is not a cloud in sight, the sun is shining on me
I didn't need a new prescription to clearly make me see

it's darn near perfect, as it all falls into place
it's not like I didn't pray to His divinest grace
it's darn near perfect, almost grandiose
the weather isn't raining, the sun shines on my coast
