Jesus Be The Bomb
I got this friend name Jesus, last name Christ
He died on the cross, so that we all might have life
He died for blacks, whites, all races that’s why when I kick it with him
I kick it with him on a regular basis
There’s something about the name Jesus that’s got me cheesin’
Grinnin’ from ear to ear what he did for me was enough
But he’s still here constantly blessin’ us, caressin’ us when the devil be stressin’ us out
He calms the storm, he don’t talk about what he gon’ do
He performs my friends got a track record and his word his bond
He heals the sick, he raise the dead
He also fed thousands of people with two fish, and five loaves of bread
Walked on water, shed his blood unconditionally he loved us
If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have duh
It don’t take a scientist to know that everything else is for the birds
But Jesus is fo’ sho
Ya’ll need to get ya’ll some, ‘cause Jesus be the bomb
All our life, we tried to do it our way
But we get left along the highway, we could’ve died
We was promised a lot by the devil, but he lied
Ain’t ya’ll tired, it’s time to give Jesus his
He’s been down for us for years
I got tired of sheddin’ tears of pain, when I could be happy
And all it took was change, we be stubborn set in our ways
Don’t wanna listen, you need to get some Jesus ‘cause that’s what your missin’
I’m glad I got some Jesus before it was to late
Although I sat there waiting on God, to remove them charges brought by the state
Whether he removed them, or let em’ be, I still walk around like I’m free
Free in my mind, free in spirit, you can run but you can’t hide
And while ya’ll runnin’, ya’ll need to get ya’ll some
‘Cause Jesus be the bomb
This Jesus I got, you ain’t got to wait in line
All you got to do is scream Jesus, and he gon’ get at ya dawg
He might not come when you call, but he gon’ handle it all
Problems great or small, he ain’t the type to leave you when you got your back against the
wall
He gon’ ride to the bitter end, that’s what you call a real friend
So if ya’ll got something negative, to say about my friend hold your tongue
Cause I know for a fact, that my friend Jesus be the bomb

I walked with a giant today along a rippling mountain stream.
He's been my friend for years, I hold Him in high esteem!
Tho' at times I've strayed from His sheltering love and care,
He always welcomes me back, His fellowship willing to share!
I walked with a giant today and we talked of many things.
His voice as calm and soothing as angelic orchestral strings.
He took my hand when I tripped over obstacles along the trail.
His solicitude was so tender for this mortal man so frail.
I walked with a giant today - He was concerned about brotherhood.
He sadly mused, "Why can't humankind turn from evil and do good?
Oh! If only folks to one another would strive to be less cruel!
This could be, if only they'd abide by The Golden Rule!"
I walked with a giant today - He showed me the grandeur of Creation.
Magnificent tor and bountiful plain created for our inspiration.
Towering trees, pristine lakes, sleek cattle of the prairie.
The majestic golden eagle surveying his domain from its aerie!
The giant I strolled with today was my friend Jesus of Galilee.
Though unseen, His presence was as real to me as could be!
What a guide, what a pal, a true and trusted friend indeed!
An understanding and compassionate friend to turn to when in need!

I never Really thought god existed
I always thought he was man made
A figment of our imaginations
An imaginary friend who we can trust
Who we can pray to for support and guidance
I never really thought god existed
For I thought if he did he wouldn’t
Let these bad things happen to us
Especially on that September day
When we lost something so precious
I’ve come to realize when we loose something
We don’t loose it all
We only loose a part of it
I never really thought god existed
Until I prayed for a friend
Only then did I realize he does exist
Because he gave me you
A friend who cares
A friend who I can laugh and cry with
A friend who likes to tease me about things.
One who don’t judge me
