Great people have one desirable quality~~
humility.
You won't find them looking
to be 'top dog'.
They are already accomplished,
and fully know just that.
They do not run panting feverishly to be
ahead of the pack.
Somehow the winds of the seas,
are the sails at their backs!
I've noticed how they move through
life so effortlessly!
Whether it was Buckminster Fuller or the
leader of the Tibet.
Or the late John Denver, or the great,
famed, late Brazilian, guitarist, Bola Sete!
When I met them, all had that one ineffable
quality.....humility.
Plus a love for all humanity emblazoned on
their hearts.
It's the insignificant, boastful others!
Jabbering or writing endlessly just
to gain a stand on life's soapbox.
And the worst, those who demand
my adulation.
How ridiculous these mice look
next to men of accomplishment!
May I always measure any of
my minuscule successes, to men
or women free of false pride.
As one of my highly accomplished
comedian friends, surprisingly said
to me:
"None of my success is my doing!
It's all due to the man upstairs!"

In twilight's hush, where shadows play,
A paradox reigns, in endless sway,
The good perish, while the wicked thrive,
In this land, where virtue's brief, and vice survives.
Patriots fall, like autumn's leaves,
Assassinated, poisoned, for their noble deeds,
Their voices silenced, before their time,
As darkness feeds on justice's prime.
Bola Ige, Barnabas Igwe, Marshall Harry too,
Ogbonnaya Uche, Ken Saro-Wiwa, and more, anew,
Their memories linger, like a mournful sigh,
As tyranny's grip tightens, and hope says goodbye.
Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi, Gen. Murtala Muhammed, fell,
Their legacies lost, in a tragic spell,
For how long shall the good people die?
When will justice dawn, and tyranny's night pass by?
O Sonho
As pessoas não sabem que o sonho
é a vida
que dá vida
tão concreta e definida
como outra coisa qualquer,
como estas maritacas que gritam
em bebedeiras de verde.
As pessoas não sabem
que o sonho
é vinho, é batom, é fermento,
bichinho de focinho pontiagudo,
que fossa através de tudo
num perpétuo movimento.
As pessoas não sabem
que o sonho
é tela, é cor, é pincel,
base, fuste, vitral,
contraponto,
sinfonia,
máscara grega, magia,
que é mapa do mundo distante,
rosa-dos-ventos
que é Cabo da Boa Esperança!
As pessoas não sabem
nem sonham,
que o sonho comanda a vida.
As pessoas não sabem
Que sempre que uma pessoa sonha
o mundo pula e avança
como bola colorida
entre as mãos de uma criança.
Sonhe hoje,
Sonhe sempre.
PAW PAW ADAGE OF LIFE.
I know this fruit
I know its old nursery rhyme
I love its taste so sweet
The softness and sweetness align
But where thou grow makes me wonder
In bola thou stand amidst dirt
Cheered by smells and empty nylons
There you stand so tall and with ripe fruits
Thou sweetness is like Cummings
Your surrender on the mouth like a soft romance
Your taste on the lips sweet like a lovely kiss
Your watery body make my mouth wet
While my tongue leak up your juice
As it gives a slippery passage
For your easy sliding into my waiting stomach.
This I know I for sure
A star can shine in the dark sky
When nature unlucks its features
From nowhere a man shines.
