Best Worksleep Poems
Im up late I can not sleep again
Voices in my head, are holding too much pain
My body aches, I am going insane
I want to throw a fit, but will that even gain
The suns up and I'm no closer than I was before
Off to work, falling through the office door
Lunch time comes, an hour long gap
I think its time for me to take a nap
Before I know, into sleep I tumble
But all too soon my stomach starts to rumble
I sit up and wipe my tired face
looks of pity, looks of disgrace
The hours after, takes an eternity to past
Before I can leave for home at last
Five a clock chimes and I'm half way out the door
My bed, at home, a tempting lure
I look terrible, I guess I'm a little vain
the lack of sleep getting to my brain
The voices in my head I need to reign
to prevent a sleepless night again
