To you my fair feathered friend
That has got lovely lights to lend
I also have a sweet savor to send
before our days come to an end.
This is all I have to say to my best friend

Thank you for the mess you always mend
Thank you for the rags you always rend
Thank you for the bows you always bend
I know there are times I always wend
I know there are times I follow wrong trend
