Best Seasonssong Poems
The dryness of the land
reminds me of my lost dreams
the ones that could
not find their ways
in droughtful seasons
the whistling of dry leafless
trees blown by a sharp wind
is a song of sadness to me
a song which tells a story
that my tongue will not pronounce
for my tears will refuse
to remain calm in the eyes
But when the rain falls
i feel deep down inside
a wave of fresh inspirations
sweeping through
and a new song of hapiness
telling a story
of a great, joy filled future
So long winter held her in his clasp,
So long we waited for spring's sunny grasp;
We dreamed of that time when all the flowers,
Would bring the scent that was only ours.
The promise came slowly but we wait,
For winter lingers and spring's too late;
But forces that lie silent in the earth
Will soon bring the breath of spring to birth.
She brings her song through green meadows,
Hiding her light in soft shadows;
She awakens all the drowsy flowers,
That slept so long in winter's lonely hours.
Through the dried leaves the violets push up,
The crocus awakens and the buttercup;
Then daffodils rise and daisies play,
In fields where so late the snowflakes lay.
She brings her light to touch with gold,
The song she sings no one else has told;
For in the heart there is a gift to bring,
In springtime’s snow and winter's spring.
