She hides in the shadows afraid to come out
For the fear of being seen
This place she hides is neither here nor there
It's some where in between
Neglected and rejected with no one to care
This was her only choice
Discarded from humanity and cast aside
Somehow she's lost her voice
The darkened alleys become her home
No place to lay her head
They find her body one easter morning
In the shadows where she lay dead
They bury her one sunday beneath an oak tree
As it's limbs begin to wave
Saying goodbye to the one from the alley
As it's shadow covers her grave
