Belong

If I don't fit in with my family
What chance do I have in the real world?
If I don't fit in with my friends
Can I ever find a place to belong?

Words that flow effortless in the mind
Stall before exiting my mouth
That humorous laughs echo in the room
The silence around me is deadly.

I miss them, I can't relate
I'm alone, that's what I know
We're to different, It's me who suffers
I am alone, do they know the feeling?

I live in dreams, they live reality.
I focus on the imagination, they prefer what's real.
I love the unknown, there safe in the sound
I live in the air, there feet are planted on the ground

Their practical, they don't understand
My path straying far away from there's
If I leave will they contact me?
Or am I on my own

Do you suffer the way I do?
I'd like to run, to save myself
But I can't bring myself to be completely on my own
No matter how hard I try, I don't belong
