Rhythmic Theft

Feeling like I just lost my time
Can't seem to find my rhyme
A writer's block holding my way
Crossroad leading to insane

Feeling it, I lost my rhyme
Can't seem to keep up
I lost my way's rhythmic advantage
Steer clear, I lost my way

Can't seem to place the blame
Can't hold it to you
You were the clock's chime
Forever beating on

Ticking bomb going off
Losing it, I'm losing it
Can't seem to find a way out
Maze of life's misfortune
Running scared, feeling it

Feeling it, I lost my rhyme
Felt the moment it left
Turn of the clock's chime
The rhythmic theft

I want out, find my way back
The rhythmic advantage through my hand
Skull to fingers found a flow
Of ink to pure white paper
Still running even now

Spoke a rhyme to your ears
Tis on your paper now
Stole my pen and paper
And wrote it all down

You take off in a dead sprint
While reading the words out loud
A pain to my ears
When I gave you the rhyme

"A pure forming passion sought
Friend of old and new besought
And how I wonder
What all I've found
And how I wonder
The luck of striking gold

And as my life's stolen goods
A purchase in the pocket of a thief
The running, rhyming fake
Oh wait, does this sound familiar"
