Up At the Sky

Looking and searching up at the sky,
to find all the things flying so high,
to see the sun's rays shining so bright,
to see the moons face light up the night.

Watching the clouds that float and sail,
watching the stars twinkle never fail,
seeing the wind blow gently each day,
seeing the rain pour and rush every which way.

The tops of trees growing so tall,
the leaves from its branches always to fall,
the oxygen we need is found in this air,
in the sky it is held to breathe everywhere.

Flying and soaring, airplanes and birds,
to describe the sky needs so many words,
but finding the things flying so high,
means looking and searching up at the sky.

Ocean Breeze

Smooth as glass, not a soul in sight
The ocean is so peaceful just before the night
No huge waves or boats flying by
Just the cool ocean breeze and the birds flying high
Sand beneath your feet and a beer in your hand
Not a care in the world unless you can't stand
Sun going down and the moon creeping up
About time to head home, right after this cup
Soon the beach will be crowded with tourists from afar
But for now it's just you, until you get to the bar
