Trout Fishing Trip.

>>>>>>>>>>A weekend trip back in the woods,
Trout fishing in there was always good.
We would pack enough food to last a few days,
My two brothers and I would soon be on our way.

I would pick up worms, for two nights in a row,
So we would have enough bait, and not run low.
Check rods and reels to make sure that they worked,
Fishing poles were to long to use in the brook.

It was a long hike in to the cabin where we would stay,
You had to make sure you had everything, there was no other way.
Tobacco, papers, lighter, flash light, hat and a rain coat,
You had to walk around the pond, there was no boat.

We did some fishing on the way up the river,
Which seemed to go on for ever and ever.
We caught 6 big ones that we could have for later,
Heat up the frying pan, dip the trout in batter.

Put on salt and pepper on the first flip,
With a hot cup of tea and a few chips.
To me this was a meal fit for a king,
I would not hesitate to do it again.

Trout Fishing Trip # 3

>>>>>>As day light turned into evening,
there was a chill coming in the air.
It was time to take and clean our catch
and store them so they dont attract the bears.

              Sitting around the camp fire,
Listening to some tunes on the radio.
We couldent listen very long though
              The batteries were running low.

This was our last night for sleeping over,
For tomorrow we will be heading home.
But we can get a few hours fishing in tomorrow morning,
before leaving this place all alone.

By noon the next day, we were packing up,
soon to be on out way.
We made sure the fires were out
The cabin was cleaned for the next ones to stay.

Memories like these I will always cherish
             of so very long ago.
When my two brothers and I had our fishing trip
is when i wished time would move more slow.
