Memories Past

as memories past are in my head
my eyes are filled with tears
the anger long suppressed fills my being
emotions are rushing in, filling me with dread
awakening my long my long dead fears
my hate for humans all i'm seeing

now i'm back, and in control
emotions once again suppressed
and anger once again is buried
and i cannot help but wonder
during my emotional upheavals
why is it that i can't feel joy?

Ever Present Danger

Anger is not of the Spirit;
It must be dealt with and expelled,

No one needs to wear it,
It's a dead tree that needs be felled.

Criticism and anger at the good,
Has already taken place.
He has been crucified on the wood,
By a self estranged race.

Anger is born of Pride,
and fear is very near it.
It boils up from the inside,
and spews at those who hear it.

Pride is a formidable foe,
That is an ever present danger
Applied to the seeds that we sow.
It's name is justifiable anger.

There are a myriad of excuses
to proclaim the seething sentence,
Justified by internal ruses,
Leaving no room for repentance.

Pride belongs to no one.
It is itself the owner,
Flaring as spots in the sun,
Both legion and loner.

Anger is not of the Spirit,
It must be first dealt with and expelled.
No sojourner needs to wear it,
It leaves no room for the Spirit to dwell.

I must grow and leave anger behind.
By myself, ...myself I will betray.
Oh Good, crucified on the wood,
Be my Light and my Way.
