If Death Was Your........

If death was your lover,
Would you be tempted to kiss its lips?
Would you pursue its potent turmoil of bliss,
Pursue its kiss into its unknown,
Beating, listless,
Heart.

I Trade You For This Gold

I kiss you not,
Sweet Jesus,
Upon your flesh
I kiss you not,
For I am weak
Broken by
This seed
Of grief
Why did I
Trade you
For this
Bag of gold
