Visions

chained and gagged
wrapped in total darkness
slapped across the face with wet leather
thrown into water where no sound can get through
for mere minutes i cry
my limbs are stretched and they ache
tears mix with the numbing cold that blankets me
uncomfortably
all is silent; i hear no noise
then all of sudden i hear your voice
you comfort and console
your trilling voice is a song; a lullaby
tears stop flowing and i no longer cry
you give me your memories
of the sun
and music
and warm, humid beaches
and suddenly i figure out
i will not crawl on my knees to die
not with your memories of the beaches in my brain
i shall try exterminate these bloody leeches, once again
