Missed You the Most

Sitting here stuck in front of this TV screen

People popping up that for 20 years I haven't seen

Some can put a very big smile on this old face

Other I shed a tear wishing they were still in my space

To just some I send a note or two

Just to see what they may want to do

The few responses bring me back to life

To when we lived on the edge of a very thin knife

It was all about friends and having fun

I think we were still friends after it was all done

Some of those times we lived only by moving fast

Yet sat down and laughed after it all went past

Threw out the years I've only missed a few

But darling please believe at the top was only you

Thank God that we now have the world wide web

I now remember when on my shoulder you laid your head

Also the sweet smell of your every different perfume

And the smile I had every time you entered the room

Now I just sit back , smiling, wonder and dwell

Had I hung around could we have done very well

Those are the questions that are close to the heart

But in our life's the answer will never be a part

So as the questions and emotions start running threw

One of the people I've missed most was surely you!

Her Pain

All alone she cries
Tortured tears she hides
In the dark her hope dies
Where are her hearts hidden guides?

You see her but don’t notice
Her face hidden in her darkened hair
In her pocket she holds a sacred lotus
You laugh, you avoid her, but you don’t care

All that she knows is that flower
The only thing that had ever been given
In that flower she holds her life, her power
She thinks she does wrong, her actions unforgiven

She takes from the shop
But all she takes is a single fruit
She has no parents to tell her to stop
She lives in a house full of dispute

Returns home to an empty house
To a cold family so long broken
Sits there in the corner quiet as a mouse
If only she had the courage to be outspoken

At this girl you look, you stare
Now you see her silent pain
You see one of a pair
You see the smile that has such a strain

To her you now speak
You teach her right from wrong
You see just how she became so weak
Now you teach her a happy song

See her smile she has a new life
You saved her from the dark
You freed her from that heavy strife
Now you see her love begin to spark

She feels so alive, so real
She knows how life should be
It was you who released misery’s seal
Now watch her fly, soar, so light, so free

Breakdown

At the corner there you are,
Alone with a fake smile i know it is,
Drawn fiercely on these sweet cheeks of yours,
Your face is no longer bright,
Your eyes has too much inside,
You think we fools don't recognize,
The mountains you built around you,
The distance you took,
and the shape you put yourself into,
I can't bring you out of there,
You buried yourself too deep,
I can no longer reach you,
I feel like I'm losing you,
And Every time I try to drag you out,
You intentionally push yourself deeper,
I'm your friend,closest friend,
Do you doubt that ?
I'm here, always will and be,
Do you doubt that?
I love you,no matter what.
Do you doubt that ?
Catch you when you fall,
Behind you when you fight,
Hug you when you break down,
Do you still doubt that ?
Is it grief holding you away from life,
Was it better when he was around,
Is it now, bitter when he left,
Now, Can you still taste life ?
I don't feel you anymore,
Your pain ain't going away,
It's only taking you apart,
I know how much pain,
is growing there inside,
You spoke none,
You've been silent the whole time,
Are you too damaged to speak?
I'm not buying any of what you say
I know how much you need to scream and cry,
I know this hard surface would eventually break,
I know that fake smile will go to waste,
I know that broken heart of yours will burn,
And,I will be there, there for all,
Because I want to be the one holding you back,
Back from falling,
Promise.

Glass Heart

Where glass so breaks destructively
The heart, it shatters too
But for now, I pray it whole
This, I wish for you
No heart’s as great as yours my friend
A gentle one indeed
So pain should never be inflicted
As well, to never bleed
I ask that God, He smile on you
That He warm your very heart
May you smile and feel all love
Good wishes, I hope to impart

I thought of you today
As I walked pass your door
Hoping it would slide open
   Just one more time

One more chance
To see that smile of you again
One more chance
   To hear you laugh again

We don’t always get what
   We wish for,
one thing I could never
   Have imagined was
Having you as part of my life

So even though your door
   Will not slide open today
Even if I don’t see your smile again
   One thing’s for sure,
The laughter and memories we
   Shared,
Will remain one of my most blessed gifts…
