Lay Back and Listen

He's a picture of passion
lay back and listen
you can almost hear those steel strings
as he strokes Lucille so tenderly
with those magic fingers
so pretty does she sing

content is his expression
for he's doing what he loves
spent a lifetime playing the blues
lay back and listen
from his heart he's playing just for you

could be his encore
once again gratefully saying good night
lay back and listen
as he slides those magic fingers
up and down those steel strings
your hearing the one and only
