Best Daughterheart Poems
Oh Lena, you set my heart on fire,
When I see you think of you,
What eternal power you hide,
What other men will feel I cannot inside,
Fire in my heart this winter,
To warm an ageing poet,
Whilst the snow falls.
A daughter silent grieving
struggles through her day,
A father so heart broken he
can't begin to say,
Shall all there days be filled
with pain,
And yet they never see,
That all the sorrow only speeds
what shouldn't have to be,
I miss her so with all my heart,
my prayers are all for you,
Please tell me that you love
me,
And I shall tell you too,
My one true wish shall always
be,that you shall one day see,
My love for you endearing, and
hope it sets us free,
To have the times that we once
had would fill my heart with
pride,
To feel your love so warmly, as
you walk by my side.
Asiya the angel of my heart
Is my daughter with a fine art
Of enchanting people she meets
Whether at a party or on the streets
Her kind heart beats for everyone
From the time her life had begun
She cares for the poor and needy
With aid in hand she is always ready
The beggars for her are special people
She donates a lot on the double
Animals come under her care too
She loves to watch them coo
Her tender heart bruises easily
But her hurt she never takes seriously
She has a gift of smile for the old
They cherish her like gold
Asiya an angel on this earth
I hope the world realises her worth
