A horse on the left
A horse on the right.
With us in the middle.
Tally ho, quite.
Walk through the park.
It's such a lark.
Walk, peacock strut, duck waddle.
Walk with the group, don't dawdle.
A cage of rodents at the zoo.
Baby goats and llamas too.
Finches, a baby pig.
A peacock with a tail so big.
And of course,
A miniature horse.

for Barbara Gorelick's contest "Tales From the Zoo"
Away in the morning sky,
The stars stay asleep,
Said not a peep,
But saw Little-Bo-Peep,
Walking her sheep,
The horse said "good night",
As the cow jumped over the moon,
When the stars awoke,
So did the moon,
The sky lit up,
With gleaming lights,
By little bites,
The moon goes through the phases,
As the baseball players,
Ran the bases,
As the sun came up,
The cow said "good night",
As the horse said "good morning",
And that's the end to the night.
