WHAT’S All THE HUBBUB BUB?
Where was Solomon when the battle began?
I guess the Biblical hero got wise and picked up and ran
Where was Solomon when a man wanted his property and so did she
And there seemed no way to get them to agree
The State’s attorney stood stoically before the darkened robe
And then the two litigant’s lawyers will be granted each to probe
But your honor……. but Solomon,……… but the baby boy
Couldst grow to bring such un-clouded joy
So he wanted what he wanted if the court complied
And she wanted that baby so on the stand she lied
He knew what happened, and would happen now
She knew what happened, and if it were to happen, how?
All this hubbub about a kid who ain’t even mine
Yeah, well your daughter is a football at the age of only nine
And I heard the two of them, separately had the same dream
discovefring that Roe vs. Wade, is two ways to cross a shallow stream

A Baby in Trouble

Newborns we welcome with celebration
Such happy times with high expectation
There is jut nothing in this whole world
Equal to a precious little baby boy or girl
Most of them will arrive in the best of shape
When from mother’s womb they do escape
But when the baby is not just as it ought,
Know neither the parents nor God are at fault
Most who come to see the child’s distress
Wonder how the parents they should address
Whether to say nothing as if you don’t care
Or if an expression of sympathy should share
“I know just how you feel” sure won’t do
Unless it has really happened with you too
“I am so certain that your baby will be okay”
An unwise and somewhat foolish thing to say
We hope that the best will really come about
But in some cases, there is very serious doubt
But for the parents, a carefully chosen word
Of concern and hope is what needs to be heard
Words can have the power to hurt or heal
Perhaps assist the parents through an ordeal
If sadness happens to come from what we say,
They will know we didn’t mean it that way
Medical science has made great strides
It is certainly wise to see what it provides
It may give help a lot or perhaps just some
The real solution is from God’s Kingdom
