The lighthouse stands
Surrounded by sand
Longing for the return
Of the warm moist water
The water that caresses
Tickles her toes
Laps gently sometimes brushes her nose
Climbing slowly the brick
The water gently licks
The full moon reflects
Shows a slowly retreating ocean
Soon the water will be pulled away
Then they won't be able to play
Lonely desolate the hours will be
Until the water returns to thee

Coming Together (Inspired At Starbucks#3)

Put water and leaf together
on the stove they make a
zealous, illustrious marriage
a passion, so intense it makes
a leaf, coming to a pleasurable
boiling...
But wait! Anything comes change
as the Milk enters the home,
spilling all of its intents
onto the water and leafs
changing its substance forever
meshing and embracing
until the act comes
as it must
to a stop
finally you have the finished
product
a delicious experience born out
of that effort
sit down and enjoy that Chai
don't forget the sugar!

Hell and High Water

The hand that reaches down to hell
Gets scorched and the hand that
Reaches up to heaven gets touched.
Hell and high water hand in hand.
Level lake disturbed by the swimmers
Stroke; arm follows arm slicing the still
Water. He daydreams as he glides
Like an eel, glistening in the sunset.
Hell is quenched by the water he has
Touched.

The Well

Red Bricks layered in caked baked mud. All the children heeded the warnings and never got
too close. With the exception of Karn, for he rarely obeyed and often to his harm. This deep
down source of coursing water fascinated him. He rested in the sun, his ear pressed to the
earth for hours. Mesmerized via the trickle and flow. So soft one second thundering loud
against the tunnel's confining sides the next.

As if the water below his feet wanted release. Karn understood the desire for freedom. He,
like the liquid beneath him, was trapped. When he wasn't near here the sounds that filled his
ears were terrible and taunting. The adults loomed over him. Monsters with fangs and claws.
Horrible harsh shouts and growls that ripped him raw. He froze with pain and did not thaw in
the warm summer rain. Only the water trapped in the well soothed him. He felt a kinship. He
felt comfort. The closest he would ever come to love.

One day the well went dry and Karn cried. Something inside him died.
