Before the rise of the sun
just before breaking dawn has begun,
shadows haunt the hallows unfreed
where whispers slip in and out the trees.
The leaves step lightly along the paths,
soon, the trees bare their naked dances
as the wind rises to tease the last few branches
to release last leaves of summer aftermaths
to dance and race along the cold footpaths.
Alone, lost the wind begins to cry before the freeze
a whirling whine within the lower trees
announcing autumn 's end to the harvests;
hidden in between the skeletal figures alarmists,
a lonely howl that rises before the sun
and all the forests weeps at the end of season run.
Here it comes, the mighty bellow
of winter fall beyond the warm and mellow
screeching in the shadow of the hallows
whistling the song hung like gallows
of spring and summer lost to the darkened shadows.

Oh, No, Earth Is Doomed
By Elton Camp
The ignorant alarmists are having a field day
A 150 foot-wide asteroid will hit us they say
Next February, this big rock will come near
But scientist assure us there’s naught to fear
They have equipment & knowledge to know
And are certain that the risk of a hit is zero
But when the ignorant see that it really missed
A bigger one will collide in 2040 they insist
The accessibility of the Internet’s part to blame
For it is open to publishing just any wild claim
Scientific ignorance of readers also play a part
To see lack of evidence, they aren’t enough smart
Proof is required from one making such a claim
Otherwise, it’s only a wild assertion, so lame
With scientific method, most aren’t acquainted
Therefore, their thinking is far too easily tainted
The earth, many asteroid hits has survived
So it won’t be destroyed even if one arrived
Thus, this beautiful planet be destroyed never
Ecclesiastes 1:4: “…the earth abideth forever.”
Religious folks this clear verse puts on the spot
They must decide if they believe the Bible or not
