I have to write to truthfully say what I think.
I must think extremely hard to write.
If I cannot think, I cannot write.
To think is divine.
To write is even better.
Let me think so I can write with style.
Before I write with style I have to think.
If you want me to write with style, be very quiet.

Why does one write poetry?
To get lost in the solace of words,
to encourage one to look at birds;
or is it something much less communicable:
a state of being, like a look in the eye,
that is unreadable?
We could talk night and day,
about the how and why,
but the only thing that is foreseeable
is the poet coming back again
for the ink and pen.

There was a contest to write a Grook
The challenge I obviously took
I swallowed it bait and hook
But it’s harder to write than it looks

The sound of the keys clicking
The keyboard rattles with each strike
No matter how long I rattle the keys
There is nothing worth reading I can write.
