The Nagging Wife (Tag Game)

My wife just keeps nagging "You've got work to do" I say, honey, can't it wait Til my poem is through? She says, "You're writing again?, That's all you get done" I don't think she realizes That poetry is fun "Words, words, words That's all you ever think" "You even wrote one. Telling people I stink" "There's work around here That you've somehow missed" "But I'll make you out Another, Honey do list" I think I'm an artist But she just don't know it So I'll tell her once more That, I am a poet (For the Tag Game, I am a Poet, passed to me by John Loving iii, I pass it to Ralph Taylor)
