How I Made It - Lyrics by Mario Winans

Lyrics

-CHORUS-
what makes you think i couldn't make it,
put me to the test i'll take it,
i've been through my childhood but i over come all of it,
and i never was the one for blinking,
i kept on moving and shaking and that's how i made it,

-VERSE 1-
i've seen it all but i never really know what tells me whats right when it's wrong,
cuase i wanted all before,
and it kills me every reason to fight for and right for to do what i gotta do,

-CHORUS-
what makes you think i couldn't make it,
put me to the test i'll take it,
i've been through my childhood but i over come all of it,
and i never was the one for blinking,
i kept on moving and shaking and that's how i made it,

-VERSE 2-
all of my life i was told that you had to go through just to get where you want,
and if you come accross a storm
you jsut gotta keep holding on,
stay strong,
do what you gotta do,

-CHORUS-
what makes you think i couldn't make it,
put me to the test i'll take it,
i've been through my childhood but i over come all of it,
and i never was the one for blinking,
i kept on moving and shaking and that's how i made it,

-VERSE 3-
i came from the bottom,
brought my way up ran with big dudes had to get my way up, now my cake up, now it's lights, candles, and make-up,
close to Jacob, foreign countrys, reminsce sometimes when we all was hungry, and now i made it and i know ya'll hate it, saying that i sound like Mason, knowing that i came from the basement, did my own things so face it, now they come around with cases, now womens hands i'm raisce i'm so close to it i can taste it, sometimes i just wanna grab toast and take it, but imma gonna keep moving and shaking stay true to my faith and i ain't worred about you imma make it,

-CHORUS-
what makes you think i couldn't make it, put me to the test i'll take it,
i've been through my childhood but i over come all of it,
and i never was the one for blinking,
i kept on moving and shaking and that's how i made it,
