Auburndale - Lyrics by Pete Francis

Lyrics

Well it's another day in Auburndale
I don't want to hear you cry or wail
I live a life of hunt and run
Driving around with my shotgun

There are lions by the lakeside
And shadows in the trees
Fat lady lies in the sand
Whistles with the breeze

Let the fireman sleep in the sun
'Cause there's fire in his dreams
You could walk around your neighborhood
While the doves circle above

Well it's another day in Auburndale
I don't want to hear you cry or wail
I live a life of hunt and run
Driving around with my shotgun

So ride your lion into the lake
And wade in the flames of the water
Watch the pines become kindling
For the sun's evening fire
