Julie Hill Alger

Julie Hill Alger was an American poet whose most critically acclaimed poem, Death In the Family,compared the death of a loved one to the death of a pet. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on March 13, 1927 and died in Amherst, Massachusetts on January 13, 1995.
