My Father
Every little girl adores her father! You may ask why do I even bother? Because he was one in a million, so brave, with gently ways showed me how to behave. Despite kidneys failing he carried on, tho told the worst, would not let hope be gone. Dialysis might give him a year or two… lived seventeen plus, before he was thru. Seizures with blindness, but sight was returned, one by one organs failed, but doctors soon learned. This man would not bend, no matter the task, survived it all despite what fate might ask. Always found humor in darkest of days, inspiring others in so many ways. Though gone, I can feel his presence somehow. His memory and strength remain with me now. He faced life’s battles with his very best and left with a smile, to his final rest.
