For those who don't know: A species of fungi found in the forests of North America can exceed 6 kilometres in diameter, but less than a mil at its thinnest and not much over at its thickest. It is the true fungi. Mushrooms, toadstools, are its fruiting bodies. Hyphal being their root-like structure, which produces their fruit. One other interesting point is that they are considered scientifically, to be closer to animals than plants, what say the Veegans?
