Would you duck your head and run away and hide? If you were to notice how depressed I really am would you reach over and show me a true friend? The thought that you wouldn't eats me up inside, my tears are overflowing the well has now run dry. Friendship calls for sacrifice and not just on one side I gave my all to you to take and toss aside. It's sad to think I drop everything to run and do for you; you do do things for me but expect payment from me too! Reaching out to someone is very hard to do, it makes it even harder when you know they won't come thru. My door is open always and I never charged a toll, but I seem to pay one when you cross my threshold. Maybe I will stick around and wallow in self-pity, or maybe this will be the last of me you'll see!!!
