Maybe they're fire fighters, Always on stand by, Wishing they were celebrating, And eating a good mince pie. Perhaps they're paramedics, Always on high alert, They want to be with their families, Instead they're helping others, when they're hurt. Maybe they're in the Police force, Keeping the peace at this time of year, They just want to be at home, With those that they hold dear. So please do spare a thought at Christmas, For all our service personnel, As we're having fun, They could be going through hell.
