Papyrus, Lapis Lazuli and the Valley of the Kings - Part 1
"Papyrus, Lapis Lazuli and the Valley of the Kings - Part 1" “Tell me about the Valley of the Kings”, her lips moved speaking to someone, sitting somewhere on the other side of the Glass Onion, she hit enter and waited and waited it was clearly evident, they were not to be baited. The Sun outside was merciless, the heat was hellish, too much that day so, she decided to toss it all aside, forgo the fruit punch, the salad bar lunch, the beach and diving under the crystal cut aquamarine lemonade waves for once; she decided to give it all a rest, walk away – so she walked inside, threw off her big hat kicked off her sandals and specs, unbuttoned her blouse, let the cool of the air conditioner kick in, she’d been at it for hours, writing and so she lay down for a bit, got into relax mode that particular day and for once to rest, pondering she yawned, wasn’t a sin. It was all good she thought, I’ll have a quick snooze just before lunch, her head sunk deep into whisper cool Duck Downey Feathers she looked at her slender bare feet, wiggled her toes the last thing she viewed before closing her eyes, were the oppressive black storm clouds outside her windows - Gun Metal Grey was now bleeding furious stratocumulus bullet holes swelling the Pale Blue of her rambling skies, what a show! It was her dream to dream,so she chose where she wanted to go. Kind of magic in a way, don’t you know? She remembered the photo with the Sarcophagus, deep in an Egyptian burial chamber he was posed in front of it like Hans Solo, his companion, a little Egyptian guide-man donned with tassled Tarboosh who was laughing as he trod out underfoot, she imagined a reconnaissance mission of Scorpions - a faded snapshot frozen in time, he was a much younger man then. She began to nod, slowly becoming invisible, now dissolving through her portal, all into black a door remained open just a slight crack, the light led the way, ethereal she floated towards it she hoped she could find her way back somewhere in the distance Jim Carrey had become The Walrus belting out lyrics about eggmen, pretty policemen all in a row, waiting for the band to come, something about being a naughty girl sitting in an English garden – and pants???... and she’s thinking I hope they’re not shot with Green Ants, which from experience can be quite painful coo-coo-coo-chew… she dissolves into dream state dripping Lapis Lazuli Blue.
