Contradictory Choices
I wanted to say I want you But doing so is as impossible as bringing romeo and juliet back to life I wanted to say I like you But looking into your eyes makes me pity myself and change my mind I wanted to say I've already fallen for you But saying that would mean nothing 'cause I know you don't feel the same I wanted to say I want you I want my mind to understand that wanting you is all I want Because in that way, this heart wouldn't beat so much and this tears would stop coming out Because if that is the only thing I'm holding on to, then wanting you is just craving you, and not needing you I wanted to say I need you It seems crazy, but you know I'm crazy What's crazier is that I wanted to say all of this to you, but I can't really tell you I want you. I like you. I love you. I need you. 'I' always seems to connect to 'you', but you can't to me How tragic it is that wanting someone can make you need them It's scary- but I was taught to face my fears
