Infatuation
Infatuation Your beauty was a façade I saw what I wanted and not what I needed But behold, as I dug deeper I only found The things that even God might’ve frowned As smooth as a snake, being slimy and fake You know what they say What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger And oh! How I found this to be trueness You say God is your saviour But your qualities speak of Judas Sorry, not trying to be rude I speak not of depictions Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I speak of love, and my suspicions without frictions Had we all those times on my shoulder It aches thinking your love was a façade Just like your prayers to your God I was sent your way and O! You were quick to thank him Man who you adored, which you were fond Too bad your sincerity was untrustworthy and slim My challenges served me right The tests of frightening materialistic events You said money didn’t matter but that wasn’t true Getting much offended, I mind you When I refused to pay for what wasn’t mine O baby why don’t you cry, Cry a little more about how I’m such a great guy Pray to your God and thank him for me The man that was so perfect but wasn’t keen Keen on what being a man had to mean
