Eaten Alive
“Eaten Alive” At first it felt like A brush of air past my face A tear drop, the touch of lace I walked my way to class Vision low staring at a little coed’s ass Then the push came Nearly hobbling myself over Then came another righty My gaunt like spastic puppet I felt another brush against me There was no one there I felt a terror inside me A terror I have never known Hastily I looked above me, I looked below There was no one I tried to hasten on My legs felt like they were caught In a bush, pins and needles My bag got heavy, I nearly fall Over as it dropped onto the floor A thought persisted, this world Doesn’t want me I was being physically rejected The very air denied itself entrance Into my lungs Nothing, then a second later it came In a rush Like a faucet turned on Cold water I was gone, utterly detached From life Everything fell away from my mass Away from my body I lost neither form Nor function But everything else washed away At first light, darkness Slowly light flickered The eyes of the malcontent Fangs sharp as spears glistening Like lightning’s stifling bursts, smarmy In my beat up boots To think all that work meant for nothing I bleed out to hungry lips and tongues
