A Burst of Poetic Thought
And it shall be that, time permitting You shall take up these moments and place labels On the thoughts behind the thoughts And you, a creation from this exact action Shall find a way out of your academic probation To launch out and subject me, the creator, To controlled observation Of course, without the essential element For a more informative experimental process And of course I know, it is imperative That you find something new to say About the things that are of purported importance Things, save the mark, others have already stated With degrees of conviction And so, you seeking the major in the microscopic Shall follow the moment of the unspoken invective Down to the core of its most autochthonous component And then blow it way out of proportion Simply because you wish to propose a toast To the arm that moved the cells into motion And pushed notions out of commotion It bothers me very little to know That in the course of your dissection of me You will very likely succumb to moronic inclinations And draw impetuous conclusions Regarding what led this moment to its crisis And pushed my brain to near conflagration This, of course, would be a great service to you And whatever funder sits behind your simplistic, Misleading and pseudo-academic endeavors
