Mistress of Song
In the melody of the night Pitter pat pit pat pitter pat The strings move towards The harmonious, never flat Hark, I hear the maidens play Their enlightenment of the evening Escaping the trolls of the day Saving their sanity, quite believing In the factors of music Playing without discourse Never a sour note from her fingers And the drums all play with rhythm The sound is nothing out of sorts A factor of timbre and cypher Being the mistress of song She taps to the beat like it’s life itself Tip tap tippity-tap tap tippity-tap Sounds erupt with corruption Being blasted And words seem meaningless Between the life of the song And music being portrayed By her fingertips, by the strings And the tambourine playing along Power within the internal play Moving hearts to forever Be at play Russell Sivey
