Hope From Above
There are times in our lives when nothing seems right, when things don’t go our way; When just getting out of bed feels like a difficult task at the start of every day. When it seems like such a laborious chore just to shower, shave, and get dressed; Just to face the world with a smile on our face when we feel so damn depressed. Why, I repeatedly ask of myself, am I feeling the way that I do. I can’t remember a time in my life when I’ve ever felt this blue. Could it be the circumstances of today that I am facing in my life; Could it have something to do with the fact that I only have a part time wife? And life goes on all around me each day, as if there is nothing wrong; And my pain continues to grow in my mind, and in my heart there is no song. Perhaps it would help, I say to myself, if I had something to look forward to. Perhaps if I did, I say to myself, some happiness might accrue. I realize the truth, I can’t make it alone, I know this to be a fact. I seek strength where I can again and again, and help from my friends extract; And throughout the day I look to the sky and seek strength from God above; For my hope of making it through the day, lies in the hope of His precious love.
