Slighted
SLIGHTED America Is Picking On Me I truly have a lot of friends with great big hearts (I know) From almost every walk in life their love just seems to flow They will not judge, or hold a grudge they treat us all the same All the woes our Country's in they do think that's a shame Trying to see a point of view much different than my own Those that claim they are oppressed I see, but can't condone The scenario played out below is fictional based on life Talked candidly with those who feel it's source is all their strife "Woe is me I don't feel free my head is filled with hate Brain washed since I was so young am I trying to change to late?" "Insults everywhere I go the stares I sometimes get Feel like they just ruined my day It makes me so upset" "Slighted (almost every store) I feel all tense inside Like someone somewhere I'm not sure just drained away my pride" "Really hurts to see all those priviliged ones (they smile) Seem so happy every day, me? Once in a while" "Try my best to overcome but others say I'm wrong Don't give in to anyone you've fought to hard to long" Pro Football players, Pro Cagers too are they also priviliged ones The Movie Stars, Pro Golfers plus all proud of daughters and sons Does that make it any better, or you still crying foul? All the "Pros", shop High-end stores Do they look at you and scowl? Pete Yuhas
