My feelings for you are as certain as the stars above. So, as long as you want me around, I’m here to stay. It seems silly to me that you think I’m always cheating. I ask you to come along, but you say, “No, it’s alright.” It’s sad you think I would have an affair that’s fleeting, And that you feel you have to keep me within your sight. If you distrust me so much to accuse me of such things, Then why would you stay in this relationship so long? I would think you’d want a change, whatever it brings, And pack up your bags (and baggage) and move along. It may be that you can’t leave because you worry so much, From a past of such horror, that you won’t let it go. You must realize by now that you need not fear my touch, And that for us to work out, we may have to take it slow.
