The Weeds In the Field
Live life with love and joy do not let negativity flow drop the doom and gloom do not let it be a cycle in life Plant positive thoughts keep re-seeding and re-sowing watering, nurturing and fertilizing get rid of all self pity Look for the good not the bad find the flowers not the weeds do not fertilize someone's field with negativity and don't allow others to fertilize yours While a mind entertains it the mouth does not have to speak it plant positive thoughts it will reap a bounty As God's servants we tend our fields we will find plenty of weeds we will pull them daily some planted by us some by others You can pull that weed or let it become overgrown do we open the gate to that field or keep it closed Look for the good in people Pray for them, forgive them Fill life with love and joy Be thankful for daily blessings. 17/09/17 Thanks to Debra Squyers for the inspiration on this poem.
