A Blanket of Mist
A blanket of mist veiled the Lake. the yellow fire ball slowly lifting, the sun greets the day in morning ritual. Damp air against my skin. Dressed in pale grey hue with a hint of white I gaze at the endless sea of sky. Fresh dew droplets cover my shoes, The peaceful silence permeates the new day. It is pure bliss watching the swans gliding on the water in graceful tranquility. A murder of black crows are feasting on fresh earthworms. A herd of cows starts mooing madly in the background. Maybe they are waking the late sleepers. I smile. The Last time I heard cows moo was when I was a child. A woman is walking hurriedly up the steep path. She must be staff her uniform is familiar. I glance at my watch as I am hungry. By the time I walk back breakfast will be served. I will miss this peaceful escape. A time to stop and stare to pause the hurry of life, and it's constraints and demands on time. My memories an iron clad enthrall. To live is not to just exist.
