My family were alcoholics and druggies, I got addicted to your music instead Used to wonder how you came up with some of your rhymes You're a genius at worst, at your best not many can compete You've stayed by my side, no matter how many people I've seen leave You eased the weight of the world on my shoulders I broke down and cried at 12 when I first heard Like toy soldiers I've wrote a tribute to you before, but I could never thank you enough Your words are the reason I'm still here This isn't my best poem, I've wrote better in my poetry book Even though you won't read this, Thank you Eminem, you helped me overcome my fears
