The Swelling River
The sound of water gushes down the big dirty river beating on the backs of stubborn rocks whose root is buried beneath the pregnant ground penetrating the deep and listening to its musical sound Water flows intensely down the cascade searching for a pathway to break through my inflated soul Trees hangs solemnly over the bloated well This is the place where they all dwell Trees with swollen trunks and long roots burst out of the watery ground Stand up like giant on the side of the river bank Taking on the persona of a living man I lay on a big rock in the river bed pretending as if I was dead And and all of a sudden water start swelling around me Dragging me to face my destiny Water flowing from all direction Bashing against the rocks clearing up the debris and rooting up the broken trees Hidden away in the cracks and crevices of the rocks And cemented up in a mystical wall He took one giant step before the historical fall The trees stared proudly at me as if I had won a victory But somewhere among the disloyal pack it was hiding in the back One dry tree stood among the green and healthy trees Sucking up the all nourishment and hiding from its predicament They dine together in the middle of the night And chat until broad daylight gazing at the static sea I recuse myself from the rock To see what was happening behind my back The water pushed me and the current pulled me dragging me fiercely to face my destiny The river is swelling all around me.
