Letter From Feotus To Mama
Don't ask me how I got here But I know it was a struggle You never knew you were pregnant with tomorrow I ate what you ate I drank what you drank I went everywhere you went When you was tired, I was too When you were strong I felt stronger When you was sad, I was sadder When you became grumpy, I felt grumpier When you slept, I rested my watery brain matter I made you feel pain I made you throwup I made you restless I made you crave for things ordinarily you wouldn't like to eat I made you wince and flinch at sleep I put your health in hazard I made you worry and fret for 9 whole months I changed your shape, Altered your beauty And sagged your breasts I made you lazier than you were I made you love me though we hadn't met I made you wait and imagine what I looked like I made you frequent that man in white I made you more careful with each steps You restricted your diets to suit my being You did loose some hair And added more flesh You stood at the mirror and watched as days passed by the changes I incurred on you; changes you nor I had no control over Your legs were swollen making each step painful and heavy You were curious of my sex, but I already knew what I was I made you understand the pains and joys of motherhood I turned you near-crazy with excruciating pains You worried over what to get for me during my grand entrance into the world I made you react untowardly towards friends and families; only a few who had gone through what you did understood You became a reader to ensure my safety And when my set time was come, You breathed in and out and screamed over and time again, Increasing the size of the hole which showed me into the world My birth costed you loss of blood and water Mama, I'm sorry for the pain so far and many more to come.
