Forevermore
running and hiding and feeding and lying, stunning and confiding and bleeding and crying. I saw you there in a crowded room, I felt that glare in a daze of gloom. You ran with fire up to my door, and then time stopped...forevermore. You seemed distracted, numb and stoic, your dreams abstracted, I did not know it. You were alleviated by pain and sorrow, you initiated death while joy I borrowed. I thought I knew what this life was for, and then beliefs stopped...forevermore. I knew there was nothing that I could do, and you knew that I believed in you. You chose to die without reason or rhyme, you froze from the Winter season of time. Forgiveness came just like before, and then mercy stopped...forevermore. It was December you died from addiction, I do remember you lied with contradiction. You sought out joy in the wrong place, you fought to destroy the smile on your face. Your life so lovely, beauty turned to abhor, and then you died...forevermore. failing and concealing and needing and defying, wailing and revealing and heeding and dying. and then my life ended... ...forevermore.
